Ultrasound – Everything Picture

Active in the late 1990s, Britpop outfit Ultrasound was formed of three former members of psychedelic rock band, Sleepy People: Richard Green, Andrew “Tiny” Wood and Andy Pearce. Ultrasound was fronted by singer/guitarist Wood, with Green the other guitarist and principal songwriter, and Pearce on the drums. Keyboardist Matt Jones and bassist/singer Vanessa Best completed the lineup. The band soon became the darlings of music magazine Melody Maker. They released their one and only album, Everything Picture, on Nude in 1999 but split up shortly after its release citing growing tensions within the group. Ultrasound reunited in 2010, performing a handful of concerts in London and further afield.
