Stubborn Heart – aka Luca Santucci and Ben Fitzgerald – set ears buzzing in 2011 with a (then unidentified) white label 12” and its follow up EP Need Someone in 2012. Stubborn Heart’s self-titled debut of stunning and surprisingly poignant electronic soul emotes heartbreak over broken beats and dark, atmospheric space. The clean, ghostly production coalesces with Luca Santucci’s mournful vocal to positively ooze a bruised melancholy. 

Equally inspired by ’80s and ’90s electronic music and ’60s and ’70s soul, Stubborn Heart never lose their passion for good pop music – everything from Hall & Oates to Timbaland. Recent comparisons have been drawn with the XX, Sbtrkt, James Blake & Four Tet.
