Born in Iowa City, singer-songwriter Pieta Brown was first exposed to traditional and rural folk music by her father Greg, also a musician. Her 2002 self-titled debut album was produced by collaborator Bo Ramsey, who also co-produced her second record, 2005’s In The Cool – named one of the year’s best by Amazon – for which she signed to One Little Indian, following it up with 2007’s Remember the Sun.
