Land Of Talk – L’Aventure Acoustique
10 track CD album in a screen-printed folded paper sleeve.
Land Of Talk was formed in 2005 in Montreal, Canada by singer and guitarist Elizabeth Powell, bassist Joseph Yarmush and drummer Andrew Barr. They released their debut Applause Cheer Boo Hiss the following year. A label move to Saddle Creek in the US and One Little Indian in the UK followed for 2008’s more melodic follow-up Some Are Lakes, which was produced by Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon. L’Aventure Acoustique was also released in 2008 – an album of acoustic versions of songs from Applause Cheer Boo Hiss and additional tracks. A third record Cloak and Cipher was released in 2010.
