Former singer for Sneaker Pimps, Kelli Dayton left the group in 1998 and adopted the name Kelli Ali in honour of her father, Michael Ali. Her first solo record Tigermouth, released in 2003, saw her move away from her trip-hop roots and featured ex-Doors drummer John Densmore. She toured alongside Garbage and released her second solo album Psychic Cat the following year. Rocking Horse, her third album, came out in 2008. She also wrote the single ‘Faster Kill Pussycat’, recorded by Paul Oakenfold and late Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy.
